Quality & documentation

The measurement record is part of the deliverable.

A part that meets the drawing but arrives without evidence still fails incoming inspection. We treat documentation as something we manufacture alongside the part — dimensional records, contamination analysis, material traceability and the cleanroom conditions it was packed under.

Quality management

ISO 9001 and Copy Exact™.

Our quality management system operates to ISO 9001, which governs how we control process, handle non-conformance and drive corrective action. It is the framework; it is not, on its own, what makes part two thousand match part one.

That comes from Copy Exact™ — replicating a proven process at every stage rather than re-deriving it. Once a part is qualified, the material route, the fixturing, the machining sequence and the cleaning method are all held. Changing any of them is a change to the part, whether or not the dimensions move.

Process control
Documented protocols per part, recorded on the job traveller.
Copy Exact™
Proven process replicated build to build, not just dimensions matched.
First article
Full dimensional inspection against every called-out feature.
Traceability
Material producer, grade and lot carried through to the certificate.

Dimensional inspection

Tight tolerances are a claim until something measures them.

The equipment below covers the range from a whole-part coordinate measurement down to surface texture on a single face. What is used on your job depends on what the drawing calls out.

Metrology

  • Coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
  • Optical comparators
  • Laser scanning systems
  • Height gauges
  • Micrometers

Surface & feature

  • Surface roughness testers
  • Profilometers
  • Ultrasonic thickness gauges
  • Digital thread gauges
  • Go / no-go gauges

Cleanroom control & analytics

Contamination is measured, not assumed.

Parts are produced and inspected in contamination-controlled environments, and the analytics below are what turn “it looks clean” into a number you can put in a report.

Class 1000

Final cleaning and repair operations run here.

Class 100

Final inspection and packaging step up to the tighter class, so the part ships in the state the record describes.

Analytical and cleanroom inspection equipment
Equipment What it establishes
Liquid particle count (LPC)Particle performance of a cleaned surface.
Mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)Trace metallic contamination at low detection levels.
Optical microscopesSurface defects, residue and finish at magnification.
Vision inspection (AOI)Automated optical inspection for repeatable defect screening.
Cleanroom surface inspectionSurface condition assessment under controlled conditions.
Non-contact profilometersSurface topography without touching the part.
Laser scanning systemsForm and geometry capture.
IonizersStatic control during handling and packaging.
Humidity & temperature sensorsEnvironmental conditions logged during inspection.
Micro-vibration isolatorsMeasurement stability for fine metrology.

Standards applied

Named standards, not “to the highest quality.”

Quality system ISO 9001

Process control, non-conformance handling and corrective action.

Outgassing E-595-15

ASTM high-UV ready cleaning for outgassing-critical parts.

Passivation A380

ASTM passivation for stainless steel corrosion resistance.

Cleanroom 100 / 1000

Class 100 inspection and packaging; Class 1000 final cleaning.

What ships with the part

The documentation package.

Supplier qualification and incoming inspection both run on paperwork. Tell us at RFQ stage what your process requires and it is built into the job rather than chased afterwards.

Specify it on your RFQ

  • Certificate of conformance
  • Material certificate — producer, grade and lot
  • First-article dimensional report against the drawing
  • Cleaning method and cleanroom class recorded per job
  • Particle count and ICP-MS results where specified
  • Cleanroom packaging to the agreed class
