Where the material comes from, and why it matters.

In this industry the fabricator gets qualified second. The material gets qualified first. Everything we machine has a named source and a grade on the certificate, because that is the first thing your incoming inspection is going to look for.

Fused quartz

One of the largest authorised fabricators of GE quartz.

Authorised-fabricator status is not a marketing line — it is the reason we can supply against a customer specification that names GE material without a deviation request. Where a specification names another producer, we fabricate that instead.

Silicon

Grown in house, and bought from the three names you already qualify.

Our own material

Bi-directional silicon ingot manufacturing since 2008, and casted mono ingot for semiconductor parts since 2010 — we were among the first to take that route into chamber consumables. Growing our own is what keeps the material route fixed between production runs, which is the whole basis of a repeatable focus ring.

Technical ceramics

Five systems, chosen on properties rather than habit.

Alumina is the default for good reasons, but it is not always the right answer. The selection below is where each material earns its place.

Silicon carbide	SiC, SiSiC	Hardness, thermal conductivity and plasma inertness together.
Sapphire	Al₂O₃ single crystal	Optical transmission is needed alongside extreme hardness.

Traceability

Material identity travels with the part.

Grade, producer and lot are recorded at goods-in and carried through fabrication to the certificate that ships with the part. When a process excursion sends someone looking backwards through the supply chain — and eventually it does — the record is there.
